Vintage Time Trials
In the spirit of competition, the 2016 Lambretta Jamboree will include a vintage time trials event on the streets of Duluth!
Riders will depart from the starting line in 1 minute intervals and follow a pre-determined route via written instructions that will be provided.
The goal will be to come within the closest amount possible to a predetermined median time. The median time will be calculated with a standard machine in perfect conditions so there will be no benefits to riding a super tuned TS225 vs an LD125 as getting to the finish soonest will not guarantee a win and instead, your ability to come closest to an average speed over a complex course you navigate using only written instructions will determine whether you win or lose.
Cell phones, maps and gps will not be allowed and officials will be placed throughout the route to monitor violations and provide support in the event of a break-down.
This will be an extremely fun and challenging event that we’d like to see every attendee participate. We have designed it with every type of Lambretta in mind to insure a level playing field.
Awards will be given for the top 3 riders who come closest to the median time and also for a few other categories we have yet to determine.
